Card through Stripe

Stripe collects the card, bills the subscription, manages payment methods, and runs configured retries. You.one consumes confirmed provider events and controls dated coverage, grace, access, and restoration.

PayPal

Automatic PayPal stays hidden until a real subscription, tax, failure, cancellation, refund, and receipt check passes. A one-time PayPal order is never mislabeled as a subscription.

Venmo

Monthly Venmo is deliberate and manual, with reminders and three full-access grace days. A prepaid term is one up-front $150 or $240 capture—not six or twelve monthly requests. Venmo and PayPal are separate accounts.

Automatic retries and manual reminders

Stripe and PayPal run their configured retry schedules; You.one does not create a second charge-retry engine. We consume every failure, retry, success, and subscription-status event, re-fetch provider state, keep full access for three days after coverage ends, and restore access idempotently after a later successful retry.

For manual Venmo, You.one sends reminders seven, three, and one day before the due date, on the due date, during grace, and before freeze. Once prepaid coverage is active, there is no monthly chase until its paid-through date.

Coverage, cancellation, and refunds

Each confirmed payment creates a dated coverage period. New prepaid coverage starts after current active coverage, or at payment confirmation if coverage expired. Cancellation stops future renewal and reminders; prepaid access continues through its paid-through date. There is no routine prorated prepaid refund, although legal obligations and explicit audited exceptions remain available.

When records disagree

If a provider may have charged but You.one did not finish recording the result, we flag the payment for review and re-fetch its provider record before attempting another charge. This prevents duplicate payment and prevents access based on money the ledger cannot explain.
